Two From Garrard Involved In Pagan Motorcycle Gang Indicted

A federal grand jury in Charleston West Virginia has indicted fifty-five members of a shady motorcycle gang, Pagans Motorcycle Club (PMC), two of which are from Garrard County.

When enforcing an ordinance that has been on the books since 2001 relating to properly mapping and addressing the city of Lancaster came up on Monday night during the council’s regular monthly meeting, council members were not aware of the ramifications of enforcement.

EMS Director Improving

Things were beginning to look up for Garrard County’s EMS director, Colby Arnold, who was seriously injured in a bicycle accident on Sept. 27.

Wayne Saylor, 58, 119 Herrington Way is charged with DUI, his fourth offense, operating a motor vehicle on a DUI-suspended operator’s license, having an open alcoholic-beverage container in the vehicle with him, tampering with physical evidence, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, not having a prescription in its proper container and with not having his license plate illuminated.

Second graders at PLE have been learning about different habitats and how plants and animals get what they need to survive.   They learned that habitats are where everyone gets food, water, and shelter and food chains are often connected.  When habitats are changed by nature and people, animals may become endangered.

The Garrard County Republican Party’s 53rd annual Republican Fish Fry was held on Saturday, October 3, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Logan-Hubble Memorial Park.

Recent Garrard County Food Service Inspections

The Garrard County Health Department makes routine inspections on food service establishments. They are inspected for food storage and handling, food temperatures, utensil washing, restrooms and general sanitation. They are graded on a scale of 1 to 100 with 100 being a perfect score.

They have chosen the name Lindsey Curtis for their daughter who weighed 8 lbs 8 oz and measured 20 inches long. Grandparents are Don and Hazel Ramsey of Lancaster and Russell and Hazel Meadors of Lexington. Lindsey was welcomed home by a four year old sister Tiffany Marie.
